it's been four years since I last posted here holy shit, and I can't imagine any other more fitting occasion to do it on than Yuletide! so thank you, dear Yuletide writer, for writing for me.

In general: I like both gen and ship fic in about equal measure, and will read pretty much any rating. I like reading about found families and their dynamics, whether they're an adventuring group that's been together for a while now or a bunch of asshole superheroes that are trying to make things work. I like hurt/comfort, I even like breaking a character (Winter Soldier AUs are my brand at this point) for lots of angst, but my one solid caveat is that there has to be a happy ending. It doesn't need to be completely happy, but I just want everyone to be alive. I love everybody lives AUs bc I'm a wimp who can't stand major character death. I love AUs in general. pls feed them to me.

Do Not Want: gore way above canon-typical violence, bathroom kinks, parent kink, A/B/O and BDSM AUs, bestiality, incest when it would seem OOC for the characters, underage sex where one character is underage and the other is not, graphically depicted noncon, permanent major character death, tentacles, mpreg, knotting


The Defenders (Marvel TV)

Story Requests:

I love Netflix MCU with all my sad little heart. I especially love the dynamic between the four of them (even if Danny's not on the list, feel free to add him in anyway), what little we got of it, and in general I just really badly want team fic. pls let me see Matt, Jessica, Luke and Danny have to team up again to take down Stilt-Man. pls, I'm not kidding, if none of the below ideas strike your fancy, at least let me see these shits taking on Stilt-Man. preferably with Elektra in the mix bc I love her and she deserves so much better. also, regarding ships, I ship Matt with Foggy mostly, but I also love a good Matt/Elektra fic. Jessica/Luke is literally my only Jessica ship, while it's one of two Luke ships (Luke/Claire is the other one). anyway:

I really liked Elektra's storyline in Defenders, where she went from an amnesiac assassin a la Bucky Barnes to taking over the big bad's position, bc like Yes I Love You Girl. so pls give me something about Elektra and how she deals with everything that's been done to her, and what made her decide to take it all back so violently.

pls let Elektra talk to one female character who isn't part of the Hand Jesus fucking Christ. like Claire Temple. or Karen Page. or Jessica Jones.

role reversal AU: Matt's the one who died at the end of Daredevil s2, and Elektra picks up the mantle of Daredevil instead. how does this change the dynamics between the Defenders? what happens when the Hand starts to make their play, with a mysterious new assassin who can seemingly tell what they're going to do before they do it? how does Elektra interact with New York, and with the people that Matt left behind?

this doesn't involve the requested four too much, but what did everyone who was at the precinct even do there? we didn't see much in the way of their interactions, so I wanna see what they were all doing to pass the time. do they bond over freaky-ass superhero bullshit happening around them? do they even talk about that or just hint vaguely around it? pls god, let me see the supporting casts hanging out and making fun of their asshole superheroes.

Matt and Jessica swap backstories and thus abilities: Matt loses his father at a young age bc of a car accident that also gave him super-strength, while Jessica saves some poor sucker from getting killed and gets radioactive waste in her eyes that blinds her but also turns her other senses all the way up. how do they develop from there? is Jessica still a private eye? is Matt still approached by the Chaste, or is that Jessica now? does Kilgrave still approach Jessica, or does he now go after helpful Matt Murdock who has a secret darkness inside him that could seem delicious? pls note that I do not want graphic noncon, but having a character deal with the aftermath of it is fine by me.

I care about Veronica and her well-being So Much, at this point. she might not have the greatest moral compass, but when she decides she wants to be good, she really does try to be good. hell, she didn't even ask to be a part of a murder spree, she honestly just wanted to play a prank on Heather Chandler. I also love Heather McNamara, bc she shows signs of a redemption arc that doesn't get a ton of focus in the show, so.

write me the Heather McNamara redemption arc that I deserve.

ten years later: what are Veronica and the remaining Heathers and Martha up to in the year 1999? has Veronica let her past affect her, or has she left it behind her for good? what about Martha, is she doing okay, has she found someone who'll treat her right? has Heather Duke undergone character development at last? what happens when Veronica and Heather McNamara run into each other? or, ooh, what happens if, in 1999, another rash of deaths happens at the high school reunion, and Veronica and Heather M. have to go undercover and investigate in order to put a stop to it and have to deal with their own Feelings for each other?

...I'm not gonna lie I just want a Jessica Jones-ish private eye AU where Veronica's the private eye with a dark past that involves death and a relationship that went toxic, and Heather as the woman swanning back into her life with a mystery that Veronica just cannot pass up.

god, tho, the aftermath of the show must've been Rough. pls write Veronica dealing with all of that and reconciling with Martha as well, and also realizing that maybe she doesn't just like guys.

this Tumblr post made me immediately want the fic where they're all immortals or, like, at least not quite mortal in some way. it also made me want the fic where none of them realize the others are Like Them until something crazy goes down and everyone's like WHAT. HOLY SHIT. WHAT. WHAT WAS THAT. possibly involving, like, Travis, bc of the whole cast I would absolutely buy Travis accidentally stumbling on some way to blow the cover off the whole immortality thing. Taliesin's too practiced at it by now.

I secretly want the crack fic where the cast accidentally swaps bodies with their characters, either Mighty Nein or Vox Machina, and has to figure out how to unswap bodies and also get back home. pls note that if Mighty Nein, I want Molly to be there, alive and whole and not dead. who knows, maybe Taliesin swaps with Caduceus and Molly just stumbles on the Mighty Nein and yells GUYS WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, and then has to help the assholes in his friends' bodies find their way back home. meanwhile, for either scenario, Matt is suddenly saddled with some very freaked out and suspicious adventurers, and also, it's Thursday. pls be gentle.

I'm currently working very slowly through the third and last book in the series, and hopefully I'll be done in time for Yuletide, but anyway: I love this magic system. I want to see more of it, and more of the characters too. this is a great worldhopping book and I want more, and also I want Kell to be happy and Rhy to be happy and Lila to be a pirate and Alucard and Rhy to get Married By The Beach, or something.

role reversal AU: Delilah from Grey London who knows she's an Antari, and Kell from Red London who's only just now realizing his potential. what happens when they meet up? does Lila even work for the royal family, or is she a straight-up smuggler who'd rather not deal with that? do Kell and Rhy even meet in this universe, and if so, what are they like? what does Lila do when she realizes she and Holland aren't the only Antari left in the worlds?

tell me about Alucard and Rhy, and how they fell in love. what was it like for Alucard, to love a prince? what was it like for Rhy, to have someone who loved him beyond the prince, besides his family?

I was reeled into this movie via the trailers showing me the only thing I care about, which is: Charlize Theron kicking people's teeth in and making out with Sofia Boutella. I'm still annoyed they fridged Delphine at the end of the movie, but then that's what fix-its are for. anyway, I love Lorraine and Delphine so much?? one is a hardened spy playing the long con who's in so deep that we don't truly know who she's loyal to until the end of the film, and even then I'm not sure we can trust that about her. the other is new to this spy business and wants to be a rockstar, or a poet, or something grand, and also I Love Them Together.

AU where Delphine does not die, and she and Lorraine meet up with each other after the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Wall. does Lorraine still have that tell? can they tell each other the truth? what even are they, underneath all the lies and the half-truths and the violence?

I really kind of like the idea of putting Lorraine up against, like, dogged investigative journalists a la Lois Lane or Karen Page from the MCU, or even Diana Prince, and having them meet at cross purposes—one is a champion of truth and wants to drag it out into the light, and then there's Lorraine, who's this creature who thrives in darkness and shadows and lies, works in it and wraps it around her like a well-worn coat. what happens next? (this does not have to be a crossover but lbr I would straight kill a man for Diana and Lorraine meeting in the Cold War. Please Lord.)

AU where Delphine really is a rockstar, or at least is working on becoming one, and Lorraine is a retired spy who walks into a bar one day to meet a contact who's offering her a contract she can't resist, and sees her. what happens next?
