Dear MCU Exchange Writer...
thank you for choosing to write for me! You Are A Star. my preferred corner of the MCU is the Marvel Netflix corner, especially Jessica and Matt, but I love Captain America and his gang too. and the rest of the Avengers too. I’ve seen Endgame, so you don’t have to worry about spoilers on that end.
In general: from my Yuletide letter:
for this exchange in particular, I’d love to see role reversal AUs! things where Steve is the Winter Soldier and Bucky is Cap, or Tony is the PA and Pepper is Iron Woman, and so on and so forth—those are my new jam. please give me more.
Do Not Want: permanent major character death (non-canonical), fics that are not friendly to any Avenger (PLEASE no fics unfriendly towards Team Cap especially), gore way above canon-typical violence, parent kink, A/B/O and BDSM AUs, bestiality, incest when it would seem OOC for the characters, underage sex where one character is underage and the other is not, graphically depicted noncon, tentacles, mpreg, knotting. no Darcy/Thor.
take note: these are optional prompts, and you don’t have to follow them to the letter if something else strikes your fancy! these are just me spitballing.

In general: from my Yuletide letter:
I like both gen and ship fic in about equal measure, and will read pretty much any rating. I like reading about found families and their dynamics, whether they're an adventuring group that's been together for a while now or a bunch of asshole superheroes that are trying to make things work. I like hurt/comfort, I even like breaking a character (Winter Soldier AUs are my brand at this point) for lots of angst, but my one solid caveat is that there has to be a happy ending. It doesn't need to be completely happy, but I just want everyone to be alive. I love everybody lives AUs bc I'm a wimp who can't stand major character death. I love AUs in general. pls feed them to me.

- ENDGAME SPOILERS:
what if of the four Defenders, only Jessica Jones survived the snap? a good chunk of the supporting cast manages to make it out as well (among them being a shellshocked Foggy who just lost his best friends again), so they and Jessica have to navigate through a New York that’s just lost some of their best heroes. how do they manage? what happens when they’re all snapped back five years later?
- Daredevil s2 role reversal where Matt dies instead of Elektra, and she picks up the mantle of Daredevil instead. how does Hell’s Kitchen adjust to and accept their new hero? how does it grieve its old one? how does Elektra grieve Matt, and how does she fare in the role of hero and Defender? how changed is Matt when he’s brought back from the dead? what happens when the Hand tries to put their city-leveling plan into motion?
- AU where Matt and Jessica swap abilities: Jessica is a blind woman with super-senses, Matt has super-strength (and may or may not have been blinded in a different way). what happens now?
- Foggy Nelson has to pretend to be Daredevil for one reason or another. how ridiculous does he get while playing the part of Daredevil? how unexpectedly hot does Matt find it? how much blackmail material does Karen gleefully gather on her two closest friends?
Steve/Bucky
- ENDGAME SPOILERS: AU where Steve got dusted and Bucky did not. what happens then? does Bucky find himself picking up the mantle of Captain America in the absence of his closest friend? what about his legal situation, what can he do about that? how do he and Tony patch things up? and when Steve comes back from the dead and dusted, what does Bucky do next?
- ENDGAME SPOILERS: 2012 Steve has just found out that Bucky’s alive, and HYDRA thinks he’s one of them. how does he get Bucky out of there? does he still set fire to both SHIELD and HYDRA? (yeah he probably would honestly.) do they both go on the run?
- in an AU where Thanos got fuckin murdered before he can reach Earth, Steve decides to retire as Captain America, and Sam picks up the mantle. give me the adventures of Sam Wilson, Captain America, and the Winter Soldier, in sneaking around behind Steve’s back trying to put together A Proposal and always getting foiled by villains trying to test Sam’s worthiness as Cap.
- Steve and Bucky’s epic love story, as told through the tale of one Captain America fangirl’s Tumblr blog in-universe.
Darcy & Thor
- ENDGAME SPOILERS: Thor needs a place to stay on Earth after Endgame, once he’s abdicated the throne of New Asgard. enter Darcy, who needs a new roommate. #TeamThor-level shenanigans ensue. how does she feel about his Fortnite thing? how does he feel about her playlist that plays the same damn sad songs over and over? what is their bonding like?
- just because Jane’s broken up with Thor doesn’t mean they’re not still friends. 5 times Jane and Thor met up and didn’t get back together, much to unhappy shipper Darcy’s consternation, and one time she took an active role and locked them into a closet to work out their feelings.
