In general: I like both gen and ship fic in about equal measure, and will read pretty much any rating. I like reading about found families and their dynamics, whether they're an adventuring group that's been together for a while now or a bunch of asshole superheroes that are trying to make things work. I like hurt/comfort, I even like breaking a character (Winter Soldier AUs are my brand at this point) for lots of angst, but my one solid caveat is that there has to be a happy ending. It doesn't need to be completely happy, but I just want everyone to be alive. I love everybody lives AUs bc I'm a wimp who can't stand major character death. I love AUs in general. pls feed them to me.
Do Not Want: gore way above canon-typical violence, bathroom kinks, parent kink, A/B/O and BDSM AUs, bestiality, incest when it would seem OOC for the characters, underage sex where one character is underage and the other is not, graphically depicted noncon, permanent major character death, tentacles, mpreg, knotting, graphic eye trauma
Ghost of Tsushima (Video Game) + The Old Guard (Movie 2020)something that's been on my mind since I watched a longplay of Ghost of Tsushima is the idea of Jin dying on that beach after all, but waking back up an immortal a la the Old Guard. I absolutely love the idea of Jin working in the shadows and trying to make things better via his methods throughout the long centuries, and learning to deal with the grief of losing the people he loves and staying the same throughout. I also want to see him picking up modern-day stuff and incorporating them into his fighting style, it gives me giggles to think of him as a hacker in the modern day. fun shit, that.
the legend of the Ghost of Tsushima - how does it evolve as Jin goes on living? does it fade away with time, or does it become kinda like King Arthur: the Ghost will return in times of Tsushima's greatest need? how does Jin feel about this? especially since it's all but stated he's basically the first real ninja in history.Jin meets the Old Guard at some point during or post-game! obviously at this point it would just be like, Andy and Quynh (although the Crusades were apparently happening concurrently so Joe and Nicky could show up pre-relationship), so I want to see how Jin handles both the strange dreams and the strange women telling him that he's basically one of them now.Jin in the modern day! what's he doing? is he a hacker? is he still a ninja? has he stayed on Tsushima or does he walk the earth and go where he's most needed? does he meet up with the others on occasion? what was he doing during the events of the movie?Biohazard | Resident Evil (Gameverse), Critical Role (Web Series)the absolute hilarious thing about Critical Role being full of voice actors is that at some point, at least
half the cast has been in Resident Evil in some way or another. the most obvious example is Matt Mercer as Leon Kennedy, but Laura Bailey's been Helena Harper and afaik Liam O'Brien and Sam Riegel also did a couple of RE voices. this is just me having a little fun with this.
NOTE: if in the Mighty Nein, pls keep Molly alive.
the funniest idea I have is that Leon has been absent from REverse for some time because for some reason, he tripped and fell into Exandria instead, and now he's ended up joining either the Mighty Nein or Vox Machina. while VM could use Leon's zombie-fighting expertise, what makes me laugh the most is the idea of Leon joining the Mighty Nein, bc he would be such a fun contrast to the sheer chaos of the party. what does he pick up while he's there? how does he fit into the group? how is his reaction to landing in a world where magic is a real thing now? has anyone else who hasn't been seen in YEARS also ended up in Exandria? Helena, for starters?Plane Shift shenanigans gone wrong: instead of plane-shifting out of hell, Vox Machina finds themselves stuck in REverse and have to figure out a way back. to make things worse, Grog bears something of a resemblance to Tyrants, so they'll have to explain that no, they're not actually towing a BOW around. how does Vox Machina adjust to staying, in the meantime, in a world where undead outbreaks happen all the time and there's no magic to counter it? would RE zombies even react to Turn Undead or no?something v funny about Leon sounding a lot like multiple people that the party have met over the years.A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin, Critical Role (Web Series)the Mighty Nein find themselves in Westeros. what happens next?what if Westeros were another continent in Exandria, but it got cut off because of the Others? maybe the magic leaking back into Westeros is the Others' slowly weakening influence as the Long Night approaches. what if people begin to gain strange powers? maybe Arya finds herself able to talk to the dead, like a Phantom rogue? and then what happens if other people across Exandria start to take notice? I am ngl part of this is just bc I want to see Vex take Sansa Stark under her wing and teach her to shoot, so if you can work that in somehow (RANGER SANSA) I would love you forever.Horizon: Zero Dawn (Video Game), Tomb Raider (Video Games)NOTE: prefer the survivor timeline reboot for Lara.
Lara Croft somehow finds herself transported to the future long after the Faro Plague. maybe she was cryogenically frozen for some reason and kept safe all this time, before released by Aloy on an expedition. maybe she went with the Far Zeniths and then when she came back she made a sincere turn to Aloy's side. maybe she touched an artifact she shouldn't have and it propelled her a thousand years into the future. however she got there, now she has to adjust to a world that has irrevocably changed on her, and befriend an outcast who reminds her weirdly a lot of herself.Aloy and Lara as adventurer archaeologists! they have much the same goals and are fundamentally good people, but they can both get a little laser-focused on their goals to the point where they accidentally cause collateral damage. also they are such magnets for trouble. maybe they have different areas of interest, but accidentally find themselves in the same archaeological dig when Weird Shit starts to happen. The Defenders (Marvel TV), IT (Movies - Muschietti)NOTE: no permanent major character death. even the canonical ones.
I'm ngl I just want to see Eddie as the secretary to either Jessica Jones or Nelson, Murdock & Page. I think it would be very funny if Eddie ended up linked to the vigilante world and finds himself actually really at home with these people. how would it affect him once he returns to Derry? would his vigilante buddies follow him there? what would happen next?
